How long does it take to produce Your Story On DVD?

To offer you the highest quality at the best price we require a minimum of four weeks from when you provide all of your materials to delivery of your final copies.  For an incremental charge, we can often RUSH your project in as little as two weeks if necessary.

Can you help me choose and find the songs?

We often help our customers search online and find songs.  We will review the fees for this additional service as we prepare the estimate for you during our first meeting.

How long will a DVD last?

It is estimated that DVD’s will last 20 to 100 years (compared to 10 to 30 years for tapes).  As of 2007, DVD players are estimated to be in 82% of all US households and now are more common than VCR’s.

Will I get a copy of the enhanced photograph files?

Yes, we will put them in a slideshow and in a folder on your DVD that you’ll will be able to access as .jpg files on your computer with a DVD drive.  You will be able to print photographs of the same size as the originals from those files.  This makes it easy to share one-of-a-kind photos with relatives.

How do I show you which part of a video I want included?

Stop your tape just before the section that you want to include, eject the tape, write down a description of the section and attach it to the tape box.  When we meet we’ll review it together.

How can I keep the price as low as possible?

Be selective and limit the number of images, songs and movie clips you use to tell your story.  Often shorter movies with your best elements can be more enjoyable to watch than a longer one with some lesser quality elements.  If you have the equipment and time you can scan your own images or if many of your images are digital files from your digital camera it will reduce the cost considerably.  (Please be sure to confirm your settings with us before you scan).
